Julie Nolf
Julie was born and raised in Oklahoma, and has been creative all her life. Although she did not take any college courses for art, she is a self taught artist, always looking for ways to expand her skill. From drawing, painting, and working in clay, Julie loves to incorporate imaginative ideas, inspired by abstract artists, surreal artists and nature. There is no direct theme in her artwork, just creativity with an open mind and free spirit. Her work has been featured in Oklahoma’s ArtBeat magazine in January 2010 and in the same year, was on display at Calla Lily Consignment in Edmond. In 2009, Julie worked with The Venue, a local art collaboration from The Plaza District. With The Venue, she worked with other young artists at the Oklahoma Arts Festival. She continues to share her passion for art by working with Wine and Palette, as well as painting faces with Fancy Faces Face Painting. Julie is also the Event Coordinator for Ultimate Painting in Oklahoma, in which she helps bring local artists together to compete in friendly art battle for the public to enjoy and purchase artwork. In her free time, she enjoys time with her husband, working on their growing family.
